The weather caused a bit of a distraction, discussions of postponing the meet happened and the final decision was made to speed things up to beat the storms that were coming. It rained during our warm-up and shortly after we walked the course the kids were told, ok we are going to race! a good hour before they were expecting to. It worked out great, we finished just as the lightning showed up and made it home well before we thought we would.
Medalists were 5th place Keltyn Kirchhoff with a time of 19:53, 8th place Caleb Black at 20:29, and 15th place Grady Bresson coming in at 21:57. Kyler Sladek finished 8th with a time of 31:11. The boys team was rounded off with 19th place finisher Troy Kallhoff with a time of 23:10. The boys finished 2nd behind Doniphan Trumbull and in front of Kenesaw and Centura.
